ASPECTS OF THE GODDESS

You may be surprised at the nature of the Goddess – like Women, she can do pretty much anything! Thats because she IS us and we ARE her.

It's hard to remember we embody this energy because we come into the world with amnesia about who we really are and where we came from. The era we live in is not conducive to remembering our gifts, our purpose, our oneness with the divine. The majority of our upbringing and surroundings are so externally focused on the physical world that we have lost the balance with our inner world.

The inner world is hard for most people to grasp because it is ‘invisible’ – but it doesn’t mean that it does not exist. A number of people have incarnated to help humanity remember our true nature – Lightworkers, Priestesses, Shamans, Yogis, Sages, Holy people, whatever you want to call them, we are all working in different ways toward the same goal of uplifting our human family.

The Goddess is one, but she is also many. She is the Mother of creation so she can do whatever the heck she wants! Shakti comes in many forms and you will feel this with the different parts of your inner Goddess you embody.

🧿 SHAKTI

​

The Goddess in her raw untamed form is Shakti, which means power. She is the primordial cosmic energy that is responsible for creation and all dynamic forces in the universe. Shakti is the Cosmic, Universal or Great Divine Mother, the source of creativity that resides in all beings as our feminine energy.

​

Shakti can not only create, she also embodies ferociousness and destruction when it is required. She is a force to be reckoned with and her destruction paves way for purification – think about Mother Nature and her natural disasters on Earth.

​

Shakti sits in our root chakra waiting to move up the base of the spine to energise and clear the physical, emotional and energetic body. She is Kundalini and also the force of divine sexuality within us.

🧿 LOVE AND PLEASURE

​

Love, sensuality, beauty, pleasure and fertility are aspects of the Goddess that most people are familiar with – think about the Goddesses Parvati, Oshun, Hathor, Venus, Aphrodite, and the qualities that they embody.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

🧿 ABUNDANCE

​

Abundance, or receiving inner and outer overflow of spiritual and material wealth is another birth right that many Women have forgotten they possess. Goddesses Lakshmi and some of the Goddesses of love represent eternal abundance. Women deserve to have abundance, be independent and self-sustaining. No longer do we need to rely on our partners to provide for us and control our finances and wealth.

🧿 THE COSMIC WOMB

On the flip side, the Goddess is also empty space and receptivity. Circling back to Shakti, this is where ideas and creation originates. The Goddess holds all of creation in her Holy womb of the eternal cosmos. 

​

Because Women have a womb (even if it has been removed you still have an energetic womb) we hold Shakti within us naturally. We are able to birth life itself, and if we cannot or do not want children we can birth ideas and hold space for ourselves, our family and community. A lovely side effect of this work can manifest as more balanced and harmonious menstruation cycles.

​

The Goddess is so multifaceted that she has many other aspects, but these are some of the qualities I focus on bringing out from beneath the cobwebs!

🧿 THE DIVINE MASCULINE

​

The Goddess is independent and self-sustaining but she is also at one with the Masculine aspect of the Divine, or the Holy Father. Those of us who are attracted to the Priestess path find union with the Holy Father via the Divine Mother.

​

We need both the Feminine and Masculine parts of ourselves to be in balance, but due to patriarchy most of us have been exposed to the effects of wounded Masculine energy. Healthy Masculine energy within the self means knowing what you want, having strong boundaries, assertiveness, confidence, leadership, taking action and having a strong sense of clarity.

​

Many Women have an overload of Masculine energy because we live in a world where we have to compete with Men in order to get ahead in our careers, or because we have suffered trauma and naturally try to protect ourselves. This can manifest as burn out, aggression toward others, de-masculinising our male partners, or difficult menstruation cycles.

​

The Masculine is naturally meant to surrender to the Feminine, not so that he is a slave to her, but so he can open up and feel safe in the trusting and nurturing energy that the feminine provides. This is something the Masculine cannot so easily provide for himself, so he sees the Feminine as sacred. He knows it is his duty to protect her and allow her to blossom in her fullest Feminine divinity.​
